Dance offers children structure, respect for others and a healthy, creative outlet to express themselves. My aim is to nurture healthy dancers, both mentally and physically.
A fun, structured dance class to encourage children and young people to dance and be fit, active and healthy! These classes begin with a warm-up, moving onto traveling steps including kicks, jumps, turns and leaps, floor work to strengthen, stretch and loosen the muscles and joints and finishes with fun routines to musical theatre favourites.
Students who wish to take their dance studies further, will be offered the opportunity to join a more structured exam class following the ISTD Modern Theatre Syllabus.
Children can start Musical Theatre Dance classes from the age of 6. Classes are divided by age based on standard child cognitive development and capabilities. This ensures that that the content is suitable for them.
This class works through dance steps, developing musicality, flexibility, strength and dance style. Children learn the Jazz dance style through fun and imagery. This class will allow children to express themselves while at the same time establishing the foundations of dance technique. The young children’s work is based on natural movements; walking, running, jumping and skipping.

Children’s Tap is taught following the syllabus of the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing), one of the world’s leading dance examination boards.
Tap dance is one of the most enjoyable and rhythmic forms of recreational dance. Tap is excellent for developing a sense of rhythm and musicality and children have great fun making different sounds with their feet!
The perfect class to introduce children to the concept of tap dancing. A fun class exploring basic tap steps and rhythms.
Using different rhythms and time signatures, children develop a well tuned sense of musicality, along with co-ordination and appreciation of different types of music.

Classes for young children are structured to learn through fun, role-play and imagination! The Grades have been devised to provide a worthwhile sense of achievement for children and young people who dance for recreation and for children hoping to pursue a career in classical ballet.
Although children are offered the opportunity to take exams, there is no pressure and students can just dance for the love of it!

ISTD – Imperial Classical Ballet
The use of the Imperial Classical Ballet syllabi gives the teacher guidance in correct and safe teaching methods for all age groups and at all levels from beginner to professional. Children and students are encouraged to acquire a sound basic technique combined with an understanding of co-ordination and musical interpretation which are the essentials of a pure classical training. Numerous outstanding teachers, and classical dancers in major international ballet companies, have been wholly trained within the Imperial Classical Ballet syllabi.
These have been devised to provide a worthwhile sense of achievement both for children and young adults who dance for recreation and for children hoping to pursue a career in classical ballet. The Grades develop a child’s technical ability and understanding, giving him or her a sense of dance, poise and an understanding of its relation to music. For each Grade the candidate is required to perform one of the set dances or classical variations appropriate for that level, thus developing their use of mime. Additionally there are mime and music sections in each of the Class Tests (Pre-Primary).
